5th Generation Signaling (SG5)

SG5 is a solution for care homes and community services that connects client sensors, building gateways, and a control unit into one smart network. The goal is to accelerate staff response, reduce stress, and ensure traceability of every step – from alarm activation to resolution.

Hardware and Architecture

Clients wear a lightweight sensor (bracelet, pendant, walking stick holder, handbag device, or on clothing). Sensors communicate wirelessly with gateways distributed throughout the facility. Gateways send data to the control unit (server), which processes it and securely transfers it for display in applications.

Event Management and Accountability

The system records all events including activation time, receipt, and completion of response. This creates an overview of response times and shift workload – a foundation for management and inspections. Logging occurs automatically without operator intervention.

Real-Time Care Support

The application displays who is calling for help, where they are located, and the status of resolution. For clients with dementia, comfort zones can be set; when they leave these zones, the system immediately alerts staff. Alarm prioritization and day/night modes help focus attention on what matters.

Deployment and Operation

Installation proceeds without construction work, without wall cutting, and without a server room: gateways are mounted on walls and connected to the wireless network. Modular construction enables quick component replacement directly by staff. The system continuously monitors element availability and alerts to service needs.

Management and Access

The web platform and mobile application provide oversight of alarms and client locations. Administrators easily manage sensors, set comfort zones, monitor history, and generate reports. Staff work with minimal clicks and clear context.

Who is it for

  • Senior homes and special care facilities.
  • Homes for people with disabilities.
  • Assisted living and community services.
  • Anywhere where it is necessary to ensure client safety and monitoring.

The system brings more independence to clients, assurance to families, and support to caregivers.
